Dinner church has begun again! 5:30 on Sunday evenings. October 2, November 6, December 4 at the Indoor Pavilion at Harry Dunham Park.
It’s church. It’s dinner. It’s both. At the same time.
And yes, it “counts.”
The first Christians didn’t worship in a church building, they worshipped in people’s homes around their dining room tables. And, just like Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, their worship centered around a sacred meal.
At Dinner+Church at St. Mark’s our worship will center around a sacred meal. There will be a full and delicious dinner served, we’ll break open the scripture lesson of the day, and we’ll break the Eucharistic Bread as we share in Communion too.
We’ll offer prayers and thanks to God, and we’ll enjoy each other’s company, talk about what’s going on at the office and with the kids, and we’ll support one another when times are tough.
Plan to be there around 5:30PM on Sunday nights, and we’ll be finishing up around 7PM. You don’t need to bring anything, but yourselves and a friend or two, because the whole meal will be prepared and ready for us all to enjoy.
