In every relationship that matters to us, we seek to know more about the other person. The same is true with our relationship with God. How do we learn? Where do we go to learn? Are we doing our job to be the best disciples we can be?

We can come to think that “worship begins at 8 o’clock” or “10 o’clock.” But, no. Worship is always going on. It’s always been going on. It always will go on. And we get to plug into that worship and join in the chorus.

After creating the universe and everything in it, God rests. And then God commands us to rest. It can challenge our common notions of worth (which are based on success and achievement), but if we rest not only will we be living the way God intends, but we will actually be better, healthier, and more productive people.
