We can come to think that “worship begins at 8 o’clock” or “10 o’clock.” But, no. Worship is always going on. It’s always been going on. It always will go on. And we get to plug into that worship and join in the chorus.

Jesus breaks down the barriers which separate us when he hangs out with prostitutes and tax collectors, Pharisees and Roman soldiers, lepers and women. And we are called to go and break down those same barriers.

007 He makes me lie down

After creating the universe and everything in it, God rests. And then God commands us to rest. It can challenge our common notions of worth (which are based on success and achievement), but if we rest not only will we be living the way God intends, but we will actually be better, healthier, and more productive people.
